Polycrystalline mullite fiber (PMF) is the latest ultra-light high-temperature refractory fiber at home and abroad. It is one of the whole Al2O2siO2 ceramic fibers. It is used at temperatures between 1500 and 1600 °C and is higher than glass fiber 200-300. °C. Can be widely used in metallurgy, machinery, electronics, ceramics, chemicals, glass, aerospace and other high temperature industrial furnaces and other thermal equipment lining insulation. In order to achieve energy saving and production, extend the life of the furnace and improve the working environment. The appearance is white, smooth, soft and elastic, especially like absorbent cotton. Polycrystalline mullite fiber is a kind of polycrystalline refractory fiber with unique structure in the form of mullite crystal phase. The manufacturing process is complex and the technology content is high. Only a few developed countries can produce this kind of product. Polycrystalline mullite fiber is prepared by chemical "colloidal method", which is chemically formulated by forming a single crystal phase - mullite (3Al2O3, 2SiO2). The chemical composition is: Al2O3O-72% siO2 28%. The principle is that the soluble aluminum and the silicon salt are made into a colloidal solution having a certain viscosity, and the liquid phase is transformed by the conventional method, and then the crystal phase transformation is completed by the high temperature heat treatment to obtain the mullite fiber. The obtained fiber cotton (scattered) can be used as a filler for sandwiching at high temperature parts, and the PMF fiber series can be obtained by wet vacuum forming of loose cotton, such as board, felt, brick, standard prefabricated parts, modules, and combinations. Parts, etc.
